Now that the competition season is in full swing, we have many new members posting on Synchroboards and expect to have many more. We ask anyone who is new to the board to please take a few moments to read our board rules before posting in the forums.

SynchroBoards isn't run by rules, per se. Rather, it is moderated by a great group of people who have volunteered to put themselves in the position of making difficult judgment calls.
Most of these Guidelines are geared towards just improving the state of the forum through smart tips (using good subject lines is just wise, ya know). Some of these Guidelines are more prohibitive, however, and they function as rules. So here we go:
No trolling. Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to create conversation.
Excessive bashing will not be tolerated. Personal attacks on skaters, coaches, teams, and judges will be removed immediately.
Keep criticism constructive. Criticize ideas, not people. Excessive flaming will not be tolerated.
All complaints and questions need to be communicated privately to an a Moderator of the specific forum using either PM and/or email. Unsigned complaints will be ignored.
It is possible to ban users from the board based on their IP address. This will only ever be performed as a last resort.
Pornographic or explicit material is not allowed.
Do not post links or requests for warez or anything else that is illegal
Post in the correct forum (i.e. "off-topic" discussion in the "off-topic" forum)! You'll get "better responses" if items are posted properly.
Respect the privacy of others, including coaches and team managers. Do not post other's phone numbers, addresses, pictures, etc., without their permission.
Foul language and profanity is not allowed - we try to keep the forums kid-friendly!
And of course, NO SPAMMING No commercial-oriented posts, and no flooding with useless content.
Use descriptive subject lines and research your post This reduces the chances of double-posting, and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Also, scan the subjects of the last several days' posts to make sure you aren't duplicating posts. Also, consider what forum your topic should be posted in.
HTML is currently enabled, but it should not be used by inexperienced programmers. The use of iframes, embedded objects, java and javascript are not welcome.
Most important----HAVE FUN!!! If you have any questions feel free to email a moderator or administrator. |
